Storm Watching on Vancouver Island
As we enter the Autumn and winter months, most people start thinking of destinations with sun, beaches and tropical climates.
This is a good time to think about a destination in the Caribbean or Hawaii, however, I have been known to do things that go against the grain since I believe in changing our usual routines to create a new and more fulfilling experience in life! I’d like to share a place with you that you wouldn’t necessary think of when planning a journey this time of year.
Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It is easy to reach from anywhere in the United States which makes it a great destination for a short break yet there is so much to see and do that you could spend weeks here.
West Coast of Vancouver Island is breathtaking in the Autumn and winter months and storm watching really is something you can do to experience the power, purity and magnificence of nature.
With nothing between the West Coast of Vancouver Island and Japan, you can imagine the spectacular shows that Mother Nature puts on from November through February. Whether you take it in from the fire place in your room or bundled up in a raincoat taking your experience to the beach, it will be an experience you’ll never forget.
There is something cleansing, peaceful and healing about the power of waves and I love going for long walks on the beach with nothing but the sound of the ocean. What a great opportunity to mediate and become one with the universe.
Enjoy hiking trails that will take you through the magnificent rain forest, along trees that are hundreds of years old and after a long day of experiencing mother nature’s elements take time to relax by the fire place with a hot cocoa or take in a spa treatment at the Ancient Cedars Spa.
If you are interested in spending a few days in this magical place, may it be by yourself, your loved ones or with a group of dear friends please contact me and I’ll put together a journey for you that you will treasure for a life time.
