About Vasavi Kumar:
I had the privilege of growing up in a traditional Hindu household – a culture that uses natural healing modalities to ease your mind, body, and soul. I’m over-the-moon excited to incorporate all I’ve learned throughout my journey to support you now!
But I’m getting ahead of myself. Here’s a little more about how I got here:
For a while, I was just another American-born Hindu girl growing up in New York. But then one day, I received a diagnosis that changed the trajectory of my life: bi-polar disorder.
Suddenly, BOOM. I had a label.
Then came the stigma. The parade of medications. The constant awareness that something was ‘wrong’ with me. I battled it for years, and it almost made me lose track of who I was.
But you know what? It didn’t stop from living an epic, breathtaking life.
It finally dawned on me that the only prison I was in was one of my own making. Now, after using a blend of Eastern and Western medicine, spiritual practice, and surrounding myself with a support network that has been my fortress – I’ve broken FREE. My “disorder” no longer defines me.
In fact, I’ve been able to not only build a business that I love, serving people like you and hanging out with some of the most interesting and influential luminaries of our time, but I’ve married the most incredibly kind, brilliant (and handsome!) man, my hubby Ashish. We now live and work out of Kansas City with our doggie Laney.
I never thought it was possible until I chose to make it so. And now I can help you do the same.

Born in Jerusalem, Israel, Parashakti descended from a long line of spiritual healers. Exploring the essence of spirit and dance from the age of four, Parashakti moved to the United States, where she spent two years studying yoga and living at the ashrams of Integral Yoga. While at the ashram she began her studies of Trance Dance™ with Shaman Wilbert Alix, this drew her to the wisdom circles of Native American ceremonies.
Both of these profound in depth teachings and inspiration led her to develop the powerful, life-changing process known as Dance of Liberation™. The Dance of Liberation integrates shamanic journeying, hands-on healing, drumming, global music, sweat lodges and fasting to dissolve participants’ physical, mental, emotional and spiritual blockages to joyful life.
