We will have the privilege to travel to several of the most powerful sacred sites within the United States; Mesa Verde, Chaco Canyon and Canyon de Chelly. So often we get excited about visiting sacred sites in other countries and forget about the amazing resources and power places that we have in our own backyard!

If you have a chance to pick up a copy of Volume 6 from The Spiritual Cinema Circle please do, since it has an incredible documentary on The Mystery of Chaco Canyon. The movie asks, who were the ancient people who lived in this place we now call Chaco Canyon? Why did they create such enormous and foreboding fortresses, capable of housing thousands of people, when new evidence proves that only a few hundred people ever actually lived there? Robert Redford narrates an intriguing journey through this land, exploring the archeological, astronomical and spiritual remains of a truly mysterious people. (55 minutes, in English.) It truly is a well made and powerful documentary.

On this journey we spend two nights camping under the stars in Canyon de Chelly as special privilege since it is under the auspices of the Navaho people. The Navaho family who is hosting us has had this property in their family over 400 years. We will be focusing on the concept of the vision quest and how as “modern” people we can still explore this powerful method of journeying deep within us for clarity and answers to the challenges we face in our daily lives.
