“The young women of today, free to study, to speak, to write, to choose their occupation, should remember that every inch of this freedom was bought for them at a great price. It is for them to show their gratitude by helping onward the reforms of their own times, by spreading the light of freedom and of truth still wider. The debt that each generation owes to the past it must pay to the future.”
~Abigail Duniway (1834-1915) American women’s rights advocate

I am thrilled that you are offering this! I envision being a part of this in 2013 with my daughter who will be 8 then. I have longed for this very experience to enhance my own guiding skills and cultivate a stronger connection with my dear girl and to the powerful potential we hold as women. Thank you so much.

Am thinking about coming from Australia for this retreat with my 11 year old. Is it definitely going ahead?

I too would be interested in an older daughter retreat, my daughter is 30 and we have some healing to do.

    • Dear Katherine,
Thanks for writing! It would be wonderful if you and your daughter could join us. Even though you do not have a young daughter – you can help the younger gals and participate as “Aunties” – we would LOVE that!
      Blessings, Sheri

What a beautiful promotional video! I felt so at peace watching it. The voices of the participants in the video sounded so relaxed…slow…the vibration of the peace really came through. I wish you had one of these retreats in winter. Is it very very hot there in July?

I published a small book for girls 9/10 into adulthood about menarche. It uses a fiction pre-historic girl and tells a short story. It can also be used as a journal, and as a point of contact to discuss this pivotal event. The title is YOUR STORY, AHN’S STORY AND OUR STORIES and includes information for a mother/mentor and references the crucial needs of our young girls. My name is Susan Hall Heitzman, but I dropped the father’s and husband’s names for this purpose and used Susan Jo as author. It is published by http://www.authorhouse.com

This sounds wonderful!!!! I too have a daughter who is 22 …. I so believe in the necessity of awakening the feminine on the planet to a greater role. I would love to participate in a retreat with young women and mothers.

    • Dear Janet,
Thanks for posting! We would love to have you both come. Even though you do not have a young daughter – you can help the younger gals and participate as “Aunties” – we would LOVE that!
      Blessings, Sheri

  8. Eliza says:

I also have a daughter in her early 30’s. Do you have a retreat for adult daughter/mother?

    • Dear Eliza,
This is our first mother-daughter retreat and we suspect we will have many more to come! It may indeed evolve into different journeys dependent on age. Be sure to sign up for our newsletter so you can be kept posted on what’s happening.
      Blessings, Sheri

  9. Jeri says:

I love the idea of Mother Daughter retreat. However my daughter is in her twenties. Is there a retreat for older daughters with their mothers? We would be interested in a more Adult retreat.
