So let’s talk about the rooms first. There are three room categories that we will be featuring: Interior rooms, Oceanview rooms, and Balcony rooms.

These rooms are located on specific floors and you can take a look at the ship’s floor plans so you can have a better understanding of your room in relation to the dining areas, etc. All rooms will be first come, first serve – so if you definitely want a specific category I suggest reserving early.

Carnival Cruise Interior Room

The Interior rooms do not have a window like the Oceanview rooms – however they have the best pricing and I can assure you that you will RARELY be in your room! The Balcony rooms as you can imagine – have a sliding door that opens onto the ocean.

Children can room with you by sleeping in a foldout Pullman bed (from the wall) or with a Sofa bed depending on the room. If children room in a connecting room or their own room they will be charged the adult rate as opposed to the discounted rate!

Carnival Cruise Oceanview Room

Our available rooms are:

8 Interior rooms on deck 1 (or 2) – Riviera (or Main Deck).

2 Interior rooms on deck 6 or 7- Upper Deck.

8 Oceanview rooms on deck 1 (or 2) – Riviera (or Main Deck).

8 Balcony rooms on deck 6 or 7 – Upper Deck.

Carnival Cruise Balcony Room

Next, a couple other things. The cruise line will charge you for gratuities for the waitstaff, etc (not including your room attendant). They will either do so on the ship or you can pre-pay it and forget about it. Personally. I recommend you pre-pay it now. The charge is $69.00 USD per person.

Trip insurance. This is something else I recommend in case you or a family gets sick and cannot come on the trip. If there is a hurricane, Carnival will not cancel the trip – instead they will re-route the trip into better waters. At least if they change a port-of-call the insurance should cover that (that is going to affect your flights).

“The Guest acknowledges that the cruise may be booked in a location that is susceptible to severe weather systems, including but not limited to, hurricanes, tropical storms and depressions, and that Carnival reserves the right to alter the ship’s course, ports of call, itinerary, activity and shore excursions to avoid such weather systems and insure the comfort and safety of the Guest and crew.”

“Carnival has the right without previous notice to cancel this contract at the port of embarkation or any time during the voyage and shall thereupon return to the Guest, if the Contract is completely canceled, his passage money, or, if the Contract is partially canceled, a proportionate part thereof. Under such circumstances, Carnival shall have no further liability for damages or compensation of any kind.”

All our room rates include your port charges, taxes and miscellaneous fees, as required by Carnival.
Final payment must be made by August 1st, 2012.

Trip costs assume two adults in a room for this 6 day, 5 night cruise including all meals and on-board activities. If this is your first cruise keep in mind that there will be a charge for activities on-land when you are in port. But all of these excursions are very reasonable for what is offered.

You are most welcome to bring your children – there is SO much for them to do – they will have a blast! If you are willing to have the kids stay in your room with you (that means max one or two children), you will save a lot of money over having them stay next-door in a connecting room where they will be priced as adults.

To reserve your spot: we require a $500.00 USD deposit per person.

We’ve divided the deposit in half so you can make two easy payments of $250.00 USD before and after the holidays. If you prefer to pay the deposit in full, simply put place both payments in your cart. Keep in mind that you can register later than January 15th if you like – but then prices are subject to availability and may increase.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Your initial deposit of $250.00 USD is non-refundable.

Any cancellation made between:

  • January 15th, 2012 and June 15th, 2012 will result in a cancellation fee of $500.00 USD.
  • June 16th, 2012 and September 15th, 2012 will result in a 50% cancellation fee.
  • September 16th, 2012 and October 10th, 2012 will result in a 75% cancellation fee.
  • October 11th, 2012 and November 11th, 2012 will result in a total loss (100%) of trip funds.

**We reserve the right to cancel the trip if it is not meeting the trip minimum.
